The first week back to school was a great success! I’m impressed with the community the students have built and their eagerness to learn. And of course, they have all enjoyed having specials everyday and TWO recesses!
Last week, we focused on getting acquainted with the building, learning the names of classmates and staff, and getting familiar with expectations and routines. I encourage you to talk to your child about the new friends they have made and what we have been doing. Try being very specific with your questions: What did you do in Math today? Who did you play with at recess? What chapter book is Mrs. Baldwin reading to you? What is your morning routine? Why is it important to have rules and to follow rules? What is an Eagle Eye?
